hi there, are you referring to this field? https://docs.stripe.com/api/checkout/sessions/create?api-version=2025-05-28.basil#create_checkout_session-subscription_data-trial_end
what error are you receiving?
yes
unfortunately I don't remember the exact error, it was a year ago when we implemented it, but I remember it was not possible to create checkout session with this field so we switch to the other one:
https://docs.stripe.com/api/checkout/sessions/create?api-version=2025-05-28.basil#create_checkout_session-subscription_data-trial_period_days
but it causes a trouble as our system allows to define trial period like 80h, so currently if that happens we cut it to days (so in this example 72h) when communicating with Stripe
unfortunately I'd need to look at the actual error message or an example Request ID to determine what problem you were having. I don't know of anything that would prevent you from using the trial_end parameter
