๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome to your new thread!

โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.

โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

Can you confirm this approach and advise on the steps to set this up?
yes you're correct

thanks - I'm not sure how to get this up and running

my issue is that i will only know the ammount that needs to be captured once I've reviewed the quote and told the customer how much it will be - they then need to authorise the quote and then i can take the payment.

but you can auth without knowing the amount

ah i see

placing a hold on a PM means that you want to insure that the amount you need is available and no one else has access to it

great thank you for confirming the approach - ill see if i can set this up

i think that would be a useful tool - can i use this in conjunction with the hold function?

you won't be able to make the hold until they accept the quote
