Hi 👋 I think raising this issue to our team that manages that SDK is the best path forward, which I see you've already done, so they can work on implementing the necessary changes to avoid that.

If you're trying to implement the workaround suggested in that other issue, I believe that's indicating that you should edit our package, not your code. That's the impression I'm getting from the PR that the person raised and linked to their issue:
