that's expected, a free trial changes the billing cycle canchor. this is explaied here: https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/billing-cycle#changing

Okay, so to recover current affected customers, we need to wait until the 1st of the month and then update the billing_cycle_anchor to now I suppose

Ahh yes, of course. Thanks for this. Will talk with them, say they cannot give x weeks trial extensions if they also want to retain 1st of month billing cycle 👍
