Hey there, this kind of a lock can be help by other request/process when the object is being updated, for example during renewal or when a payment is in flight
not sure what you are saying there, but my question is what endpoints are accessing this invoice to make the rate limit error trigger?

Ah, yes, this was in the process of being updated based on your settings to mark invoice uncollectible after all payments fail
The last (8th) attempt just failed and this was in the process of updating when you tried to retrieve the invoice, and encountered that lock
In these rare timing collision cases you should just wait and retry the retrieval
when you say "in the process of updating" can you send me that event? or request
