Yep application_fee is the correct way to do this.

Overall we don't recommend using Destination Charges with Standard Accounts

So Direct Charges + Application Fees is the correct way.

Ok so it is supported with Standard accounts but the preferred method is to go with Direct Charges + Application Fees

Destination Charges are supported with Standard but not recommended, correct. Both Direct Charges and Destination Charges support using Application Fees to retain a fee for your platform.

If a client issues a refund and their stripe balance is 0 do you pull it from their bank account or how does it work if their stripe balance is 0
