Hello there
Imagine I am building a B2B app for hotels. Users put a card on file.
No, once a PaymentMethod is detached from a Customer it is consumed.
This is basically the same thing as it being deleted.
they also want to remove it from the wallet, but the hotel wants to make sure that card is still kept on file in case there are damages.
OK - any advice on best practices to achieve above then?
How can I remove payment methods from a user's wallet but still allow the hotel to charge that card if they find any damages a few days later? @tiny otter
That mostly depends on what you consider "the user's wallet".
If that is just the UI that you show for the user to re-use saved PaymentMethods then you could keep the PaymentMethod attached but just not show it to the user in the UI in this case.
