in the step shared, i see you send confirmation token to server
and in step 6 i see this token not used to create payment intent!!
Ah, thanks for flagging. This likely got missed by the docs team. I'm happy to flag this and have this updated.
ok so need use confirmation token in step 6 or not?
You should, yes..
you told me before
If you're confirming client-side then you don't need to create the PaymentIntent with a confirmation token.
When you confirm on the frontend, Stripe.js will automatically confirm using the confirmation token
oh right, you want client-side confirmation. In which case, you don't need to pass it. Sorry got confused..
so in step before 6, token should not be sent to server?
See: https://docs.stripe.com/api/payment_intents/create#create_payment_intent-confirmation_token
It says to only pass confirmation_token when confirm: true is also set when creating the PaymentIntent.
so in step before 6, token should not be sent to server?
yes
ok thanks!
and what do you mean by this?
When you confirm on the frontend, Stripe.js will automatically confirm using the confirmation token
you mean the code i selected?
Yes
ok last Q
this Q will be about create and confirm in backend using single call
- user will open google pay ui, when this ui will be closed? after creating and confirming payment intent?
UI will close before PaymentIntent is created/confirmed. Confirmation token is created after google pay modal closes
in frontend confirmationn too?
Hello, yes the order of the calls is the same, the difference is where the confirm call happens
