My use case is to create an invoice for a bank transfer after the customer has completed the transfer. Can Stripe support this?

For example:

A client sends a bank transfer manually (outside Stripe).

After I confirm the payment is received in the bank, I want to generate an invoice in Stripe for accounting/record purposes.

I don't want to create a payment link or invoice before the bank transfer — only after it's confirmed.

Is there a recommended way to handle this flow in Stripe?

The supported flow, is to create the invoice first and then invite the customer to make tha bank tansfer

Otherwise, nope you can't create an invoice after the payment.

Well, you can but there'll be no link between the bank transfer and the invoice

Like you create an invoice later and you mark it as paid out of brand for exmpla (which isn't realy the case)
