can I add a new phase to an existing subscription with the correct time and release after the first iteration?
hey there, the time of the payment is based on the billing_cycle_anchor of the subscription, which is always in UTC yes
So you need to account for that when setting the anchor, to put it such that the timezone makes sense for your business & customers
Right, you can't arbitrarily update the anchor on an existing subscription to a future value
You choices are to add scheduled phases to the subscription to reset the anchor at phase change
or, you can add a trial period that ends when you want to have the anchor set to
Thank you, that makes sense if the schedule is currently released would I just need to add a new Subscription schedule with the correct StartDate timestamp to the current subscription?
Correct, you would make one API call to add a new schedule to the subscription and then you would make another to add the phase
