Some customers have reported that they've been "charged" after entering their payment method.
For reference, I know they haven't actually been charged until the funds are captured. It's probably just a bank notification of a pending payment.

Hi, what does 'prevent them being "charged" until they checkout' mean exactly?

Ideally, they wouldn't get notified of the payment / show on their banking app until we actually go to capture the funds when they complete the checkout.
I'm guessing it's probably not possible?

No, that is not possible with capture_method: "manual", . That is the intend of this flow so funds are held until you capture it
