It is expected that you have to use Apple's in-app-purchase flow if you're selling access to digital content within your app, as we discuss here:

If your concern is that Apple rejected your app as part of their app review process, I'd suggest continuing to work with Apple regarding that. We won't have any insight into that review process or be able to influence Apple's decision.
