Hi there π I'm not super familiar with Apps on Devices, and am looking to see if there are any known limitations regarding webviews there.
Thanks Toby. Any help is appreciated
The only thing jumping out to me initially, is maybe that scrollbar is part of the "system UI" that doesn't get rendered for these:
https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/features/apps-on-devices/build#limitations
Checking to see if I have a teammate who knows more about these flows that can provide a more confident answer here.
And to confirm, are you not seeing the scrollbar? And/or are you not able to scroll the view at all?
I can see the scroll bar but the problem is the scrolling itself. Can't scroll the WebView content at all.
Ah, gotcha, thanks for that clarity!
I've looped in some teammates to help, and will be echoing some questions that they have.
Have you tried testing your app in an emulator, or have you only tested on a real device so far?
I've tried Emulator and mobile phones and it all works fine. I'm struggling only on the S700
Have you added any logging/instrumentation to your app, and if so, do you see anything meaningful in the logs from around when the WebView is created/used?
As far as the logs go, everything look normal. No exceptions or warnings.
Gotcha, my teammates are running out of ideas too, and we think this is going to need a deeper investigation than we can provide in this thread. I'm about to have one of our bots send you a DM to create a support case that will come to my team. Please follow the flow it sends you to and we'll keep this investigation going there.
Hello @odd lichen, we have sent you a direct message, please check it at https://discord.com/channels/@me/1374749349732683847
- πThe message has instructions on how to open a direct support case with our Developer Support team, in order to help you more effectively.
Done, thanks for your help Toby
Any time! Sorry we weren't able to get you an answer more quickly, but we'll pick up the conversation in that case and work on getting to that point.
No worries at all
