Hi there
Yeah this is a rough edge with testing the Hosted Invoice Page with Connect. The only way around it is to connect this Connected Account in test mode using OAuth, which is this flow: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/oauth-standard-accounts and you would use your test mode client application as well as your test mode API key to complete the connection.

Is there a way to do this in the stripe dashboard ?
I don't want to have to create a button to do this

Try going to https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/connect/accounts in your Dashboard and clicking the create button
I think that should give you an option for OAuth
(Sorry we aren't very familiar with the Dashboard here as we focus on the API)
