๐Ÿ‘‹ happy to help

#

so basically your subscription has already 2 subscription items and you want to create a pending update where you update 1 price and delete another right?

dark wadi
#

yes

high shard
#

unfortunately that's not possible, you'd have to wait until the pending update is confirmed and then delete the extra subscription item

dark wadi
#

thus far my integration has worked because i only supported upgrade flows, so it could go from base -> growth -> scale

#

base has only 1 item

#

while the others have 2 items

#

but going down from growth/scale -> base is not working

#

Hmmm

#

wait until confirmed means waitin for webhook event and handling there?

high shard
#

until confirmed meaning that the pending update has been applied

#

pending_if_incomplete means that the changes won't be applied unless the payment goes through

updatedSub, err := sub.Update(subscription.StripeID, updateSubscriptionParams)
    if err != nil {
        log.WithField("customerID", customerID).WithField("subscription_stripe_id", subscription.StripeID).WithError(err).Error("couldn't update the subscription on Stripe")
        return nil, utils.NewUnexpectedError("Failed to update the subscription", nil)
    }

    data := &StripeSubscriptionResult{
        SubscriptionID: updatedSub.ID,
    }
    // update is pending
    // need additional user actions on frontend to confirm
    if updatedSub.PendingUpdate != nil {
        data.ClientSecret = updatedSub.LatestInvoice.PaymentIntent.ClientSecret
    }
