You may be able to achieve this with Stripe Radar [0].

There's a card_funding attribute that can be set to credit [0].

👋 the other option here is the two-step confirmation flow to check on the funding in your flow itself: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/build-a-two-step-confirmation

If you are using Stripe Checkout then Radar is the only way to accomplish this

Sounds like you aren't using Checkout though based on saying you are using the PaymentIntents API
