I suspect LinkAuthenticationElement might not be supported for Custom Checkout...
But let me confirm this.
It'd make sense because they use a custom Email component here: https://docs.stripe.com/checkout/custom/quickstart?lang=node&client=react
It seems so, but I can't get an explicit confirmation. In this case I suggest you go ahead and use a custom component for this.
