Hi! Which document are you referencing for when you mention From the docs it sounds like the payment/checkout pages should be localised.?
https://support.stripe.com/questions/supported-languages-for-stripe-checkout-and-payment-links I found it here

I feel the problem is, that this localisation seems to only pertain to payment links and not "subscription products" accessed through "pricing tables"
My subscription, has "additional information" that is shown in the pricing table. i dont need that or the pricing table to be localised, but the checkout itself. when looking at the pricing table it even says "locale english" and i assume that therefore it will also be fixed when checking out, but i need it to be localised π
Have you tested from a location that has another language?
yes. a japanese phone of a japanese person with language and locale setting to japanese to be sure
and im in japan, on the same wifi, with english locale
Can I have your website?
i checked the checkout links and it doesnt seem that the locale is set to something specific
Looking into it.
thank you!
Do you need the checkout session to always translate to Japanese or it depends on where the customer is located?
adjusted to the checkout location yeah, so the browsers locale i guess
We need to test this more. Could I get your help to create a ticket with the details and your website so we can check further?

so i also talked to strip support and told them some feature requests. it is indeed the limitation of pricing tables. i now know a way around this using payment links and buyilding my own pricing table, but in the future have localised product information and pricing tables not locking the locale and also pricing tables using the respective currencies
Makes sense! I will pass this feedback to our releavant team. Thanks!
thank you you are doing a great job, stripe is amazing, and so is the support team!
