Hi ๐ there is no Event type associated with a Payment Method expiring, you would want to track that on your end. However, these days, some card details get updated automatically between Stripe and the issuing banks:
https://docs.stripe.com/payments/cards/overview#automatic-card-updates
So if you want to track this you can, but the existing Payment Methods may also continue to work if a new card is issued and the issuing bank lets us know.
If you use Stripe Billing and would like to have us reach out to your customers when their cards are close to expiring, there is a setting for that on this page in your Stripe dashboard that can be enabled:
https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic
Okay so if we don't receive a payment_method.automatically_updated the card can be regarded as expired, ignoring the bank possibly allowing it to be used further when it's already authorized
Yup!
Thank you
