For other payments I use setup intent but now while reading the link you shared with me, it says that I need to create a checkout session

It looks like we are hiding PayPal because setup_future_usage_unsupported. But, as we both saw in the docs, this should be turned on in Test mode

However that was for PayPal in general. I am doing more digging to see if this is specific to the Express Checkout Element.

I was mainly worried if Stripe doesn't support recurring payments for PayPal Express. But from what I am understanding, you didnt mention that is not possible. Maybe I try connecting tomorrow with the production account, and see if it will work
