Hi there ๐ are you able to share ID of the Subscription Schedule and/or Subscription from your testing? Because what you're describing, where you apply the same Coupon to multiple phases, sounds likke the right approach.
Yep, just a moment.
Here's that subscription ID, from the test mode account:
sub_1RAKFSJFEiA4HjRcydDn72xj
And the sub_sched ID:
sub_sched_1RAKFqJFEiA4HjRcE5ICkRbM
And here's the request ID where I explicitly set the phases:
req_kkaVhdzS1bBNgo
In my example, I expect the student coupon (with a duration of 24 months) to apply for 4 years of membership, charging the customer $25/yr. However, it only applies the first two years, then ignores the next two.
Hm, yeah, this isn't what I expected to see either.
Are you able to consistently reproduce this behavior?
Yeah, I have a few other requests/test customers, and I get the same behavior. I've tried lots of variations; using the coupon directive, using the newer discounts directive, etc.
The only thing that works is applying the coupon on both phases using a promotion code instead. Where the promo codes change in each phase, but the underlying coupon does not.
But this isn't an ideal solution.
Gotcha, I'm going to try to reproduce this in my account, and work on flagging this behavior to the appropriate team for further review if I'm able to do so.
Alright. That'd be helpful, thank you. If you find another method of producing this behavior (reapplying the coupon/reseting its duration), please let me know and @ mention me.
I wanted to confirm I was able to reproduce the behavior you described, and am working on raising that to the appropriate team for further review. Thank you for taking the time to flag this to us!
