Hello, good question. I will look in to this. One thing that will likely make this difficult is that our billing meter usage aggregation can take minutes for the amount in the summary to update. So even if you check via the API, it is possible that the user may have used up the last of their credit a minute ago and that value isn't showing yet

Thanks! Honestly, for my use case, it's not that important. Obviously I would like the updates to be instant, but if there's a little bit of latency, that's not the end of the world. However, I would then want to be able to immediately grant a discount so that my user isn't then billed for their extra usage in their next cycle. The reason for the workaround is that I'm trying to launch a consumer-facing product where adding anything extra to the bill will probably lead to a spike in chargebacks.
