Yeah you can't have an account that is both a normal platform and hosts a Stripe App.

So you would either need to create a new account or you would have to work with our Support team to see if they can reset things for you here.

If I close my account, will it delete the Stripe Apps that are already there?

I don't mind creating a new account but I'd like to keep the same Stripe App id so I'm not sure if it'll be released if I close the existing account

That's a great question that I actually don't know the answer to... you are going to be best off asking our Support team via https://support.stripe.com/contact/login about the ramifications of closing your account in terms of your App.
