Awesome thanks, one approach we tried was to use the read_parameter and the manual capture method, and discontinue the process if magstripe was the method. The stripe api however seemingly elected to just not work sometimes with the manual capture method.

Okay yeah this isn't possible and we actually note that we don't support unattended scenarios of this nature: https://support.stripe.com/questions/terminal-support-for-attended-and-semi-attended-scenarios

Ah gotcha, appreciate you checking into that for us. I'm assuming there's no intended future support at the moment for shutting off the magstripe reader?
