let merchantIdentifier = "XXXXXXXXXXX"
let paymentRequest = StripeAPI.paymentRequest(withMerchantIdentifier: merchantIdentifier, country: "US", currency: "USD")
let deferredPaymentSummary = PKDeferredPaymentSummaryItem(label: "Deesul", amount: .zero, type: .pending)
deferredPaymentSummary.deferredDate = .distantFuture
paymentRequest.paymentSummaryItems = [
deferredPaymentSummary
]
if let applePayContext = STPApplePayContext(paymentRequest: paymentRequest, delegate: self) {
applePayContext.presentApplePay(completion: { })
}
Gotcha, then yes you don't have to attach the PaymentMethod to the Customer if you don't want to -- that is dependent on whether you set setup_future_usage for your PaymentIntent or not.
where would i configure setup_future_usage in this example implementation?
server-side when you create the PaymentIntent: https://docs.stripe.com/apple-pay?platform=ios#create-automatic-payment-intent
aha OK!
i think this might be what i need. can i leave this thread open while i take it to my backend person?
Sure
