One example is the BIN... We have a custom BIN for our cards. So we'd like to be able to implement backend code that filters for that, etc.
None of the test cards share the same BIN, of course. So without being able to leverage custom-created Stripe Sandbox cards, we have to mock out our staging environment and change the values in Production. It'd be nice to not need to have that implemented in our backend.

Hi! So there's no way to modify the BINs for the test cards unfortunately - or use customized (or customizable) test cards.
