Hi! The deadline has bene extended till end Sept 2025 for React Native, iOS and Android users.
Oh cool! So that answers the first question, and for the second question that means the deadline has also been extended to 9/30 this year. Got it, thanks!
I don't anticipate this being much of an issue in that case, but to make sure I understand: will apps still running version 3.x Stripe Terminal SDK after Sept 30 deadline no longer be able to save cards?
3.x users will still be able to save cards. It's just that SDK4 will have new parameters. However, there will be no support for SDK 3.x from end Sept.
v3 should still behave the same from Mar 31 to Sep 30
Got it thanks. But to be clear by no support after Sept 30 you mean card saving will stop working for apps still running SDK 3.x after Sept 30, right?
No, v3 users will still be able to save cards. Just that Stripe will stop supporting v3.
Ah ok, so 'no support' means Stripe isn't going to assist with issues or provide new changes, etc. to SDK 3.x after Sept 30?
So then is it correct to say that SDK v3 should continue to behave the same not just from Mar 31 to Sep 30 but also after Sep 30?

Yes

It should but it wouldn't support new features, it won't have new features added, etc.
Ok that makes sense, thanks! So it sounds like this specific deadline won't have any technical/behavioral impact on how SDK 3.x (or 4.x) functions, rather it just denotes the end of when Stripe is officially providing ongoing assistance and updates etc. to SDK 3.x.
I was mainly concerned about suddenly seeing new errors from older app versions in production after this deadline passes. It sounds like no behavior is actually changing, so there's nothing to actually be concerned about on this front. Does that sound right to you?
Yeap sounds right!
great! thank you! I do have one other question about the Stripe iOS SDK. Not sure if I should open another thread for this or not but I'll ask it here: does Stripe do anything to prevent the PaymentSheet from showing when screen mirroring is enabled on the device? I'm running into a bug where the paymentSheet modal view won't show up specifically when screen mirroring is enabled on the device. Not sure what the root cause could be for that but want to check if it might be intentional behavior coming from the Stripe SDK for security purposes?
Let me check on this! Give me a moment.
Can I check of you don't face the same issue when screen mirroring is disabled?
It doesn't happen when I turn off screen mirroring
Can I get your help to write in for above with the steps to reproduce the issue you're facing? We can then check further on it internally.
