like I would really like do avoid to first create booking and based on the payment webhook update booking status if payment went through or not
Hi there - you can create and confirm a payment from the server if you have a payment method that has already been set up for use
So that would be like https://docs.stripe.com/api/payment_intents/create#create_payment_intent-confirm but you would need to have already created a SetupIntent and confirmed it on the client, collecting payment details
Or, alternatively, you could look at something like Confirmation Tokens: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/build-a-two-step-confirmation#add-the-payment-element-to-your-checkout-page
ok, got that. I think it better to go with solution one because of the simplicity.
For this flow, is it possible that in the 1. show user a form where he can either enter and save a payment method or select and existing one and than in 2. when user presses on "pay" to create the payment intent with the confirmation?
Sorry for the delay here; very busy today
no problem
So yes, you can display saved payment methods in the Payment Element: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/save-customer-payment-methods
Does that answer your question?
