Right, stripe is asking for our bank account login and password to verify our account. Is there an alternative way to do this without having to provide that information?

Is this for your personal Stripe account? In that case our support team may be able to better advise you on that. Some of our surfaces support microdeposit verification, which doesn't require a login with us, but I don't know if the dashboard does https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true

Bad wording on my part. By "personal" I more meant, is this for the Stripe account that you are directly using, or are you asking about this on behalf of users signing up for your platform, or customers paying you by bank debit
If you are asking this when figuring out the setup for the Stripe account that your non-profit is using, that support link will be the best place to go to ask this question. On this server we know a lot about coding with the Stripe API, but not much about account setup
