👋 Welcome to your new thread!

⏲️ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.

⏱️ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

🔗 This thread will always be available, even after it's closed. You can find it again using Discord's search, or you can save this link: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1349098639741419712

📝 Have more to share? Add more details, code, screenshots, videos, etc. below.

Below are links to other discussions we've had with you in the past week in case you want to review that information. If your question is related to one of these previous discussions, please provide a comprehensive summary of the current state and what you need help with now. We help many users simultaneously, so a summary allows us to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

Hello

#

I got carried away and re-opened the same thread

#

one of admins said: "Hi! You should see the Dispute in the Dashboard which shows it all, but also the reason is visible on the object: https://docs.stripe.com/disputes/categories"

#

This doesn't really answer anything

#

there is no field for the reason of why the dispute was lost

Hello
Sorry for the confusion

#

I think they must have misunderstood

#

lost: Indicates that the bank decided in the account owner’s favour and upheld the dispute. In this case, the refund is permanent and the dispute fee isn’t returned.

In some cases, the bank provides additional details about the dispute decision. Select View issuing bank response under Relevant documents in the dispute details to view them.

#

this is dashboard only afaik

#

and only applies to some cases where the issuer/bank provides the additional details

nimble ravine
#

ye from my exp, the bank may or may not provide data

coarse copper
#

yup

nimble ravine
#

erm, how can I know for sure, that I submitted evidence for a dispute?

#

I think the evidence upload links expire

#

practically, some of my customers were complaining that they were thinking the files werent uploading to stripe

#

leading to me saying "i dont know the reason you lost, the bank decides that"

#

but I couldn't see the evidence anymore, to prove it

coarse copper
nimble ravine
#

yeah but the files that you upload

#

say I upload a pdf

#

like this one

coarse copper
nimble ravine
#

let me quickly check that

#

so yes the file is in there

coarse copper
nimble ravine
#

I saw somewhere that the files expire or become blocked

#

is that true?

coarse copper
#

as in the "purpose"

#

dispute evidence expires in 9 months

nimble ravine
#

hmm I could swear some links were not openable or downloadable

#

🤔

#

like this

#

does that mean I can't get it from stripe dashboard directly

Hi, taking over as my teammate needs to step away. Let me catch up.

#

We can't answer questions related to the Dashboard behavior on this channel I'm afraid. You can review https://docs.stripe.com/disputes/responding#status and you can confirm by looking here specifically: 'After you submit a response, the status of the dispute changes to under review. '
