I'm building something similar to this, but we can't use that since each line item will need to show some data from our other data provider.
Good question, looking into these events and will get back to you
Actually quick question, what do you mean by "posted" here?
If you mean that it has arrived in their external account, payout.paid is the best event to listen to, though as the reference says, that is only our estimate of when it arrives so it can be a bit out of sync
https://docs.stripe.com/api/events/types#event_types-payout.paid
Complete reference documentation for the Stripe API. Includes code snippets and examples for our Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, Go, Ruby, and .NET libraries.
Ok. This is a follow up to my question here: #1346899307068002335 message
It was concluded in that thread that we can use payout.paid.
so, yes, it would be our best estimate that it has arrived in their external account.
I'm just curious, if we would still listen for payout.paid to know this for auto payouts, then what is the significance of the payout.reconciliation_completed event?
That event tells you when you can list the balance transactions assosciated with a payout to get an idea of what specific charges and such are assosciated with the payout. My understanding is that that is not available when payout.created happens, but will happen before payout.paid. It is about data becoming available in Stripe

Nice. Ok. Good to know. Thank you!
Of course, happy I could clarify!
