What do you mean by "the payment was not completed" exactly?

The GooglePay / ApplePay buttons are displayed. We tried to complete the payment. The payment was stuck or not completed or failed.

Could you please share your frontend code relevant to Stripe?

Is confirmPayment() called actually? Could you log something to the console?
Also, do you have a related PaymentIntent ID?
I see that you're not creating the PaymentIntent anywhere actually.
You're missing multiple steps from the confirm handler: https://docs.stripe.com/elements/express-checkout-element/accept-a-payment#submit-the-payment
