Hi there!
Hi
The issue is that, generally, you want to use destination charges on different types of connected accounts than direct charges.
There are a few docs pages that I would recommend reviewing to come to an understanding of the factors at play:
What do you mean by on different types of connected accounts? Could you show me some examples?
There's a table in the documentation I just sent you that tells you about the three types of connected accounts (standard, express, and custom)
I'd also recommend reading the documentation that describes the different kinds of charges, or funds flows.https://docs.stripe.com/connect/charges
I have read that. My question is if we decide to use standard + direct charge, can we change it later?
A standard Stripe account cannot be converted into an Express account, no. You would have to create new accounts.
I see. Thank you
No problem
I'm curious what if I choose some combinations that are not recommended, like standard account + destination charge.
It is possible yes. A consideration is that destination charges are only allowed for connected accounts in the same country as the platform's Stripe account
