hi there!
you are trying to update the mcc of a Standard account, which is not possible.
Is there a work around? As I need a specific mcc for my connected account.

Stripe automatically sets MCC codes for connected accounts, but you can choose to set them manually for accounts that your platform controls. That includes Custom and Express accounts.
since you are using Standard account, then it's the Standard account itself that controls the mcc.
Then how can standard account itself change the mcc? through dashboard
I guess it was automatically set based on the info they entered during the onboarding
