AFAIK what you're doing with expand is the canonical way to go about it - https://docs.stripe.com/expand/use-cases#charges-in-payout
I have not seen res_ objects in the API before and I'm 99% sure we don't have any resources in the public API that'd return that..
This might just be a Dashboard <> Reporting exclusive feature

Yeah unfortunately expanding balance transactions doesn't get data for reserved fund releases.
They do have associated charges, but i have poked around with various api calls and cannot find any link between the referenced charges and the payout ( or the day the reserved funds were released) I assume this means they are only linked through reserved funds which cannot be called in API :/
