In that case, you don't use a tax api
You just adjust the total you're charging the customer
Our customers are asking for the tax information. What other alternative do we have? So our customers can collect tax information?
Can you be more specific? Not sure what your requirements are here since I'm not familiar with your integration
Currently, we send payment_intent with the total amount to Stripe, such as if the product is $10, the tax is $1. We will send $11 as payment_intent amount. Now our customer wants to collect all tax information , so we need a way to tell $1 is the tax to Stripe.
If this is just for record keeping purposes, then you can just make note of this in the payment intent's metadata: https://docs.stripe.com/api/payment_intents/object#payment_intent_object-metadata
Is there a way to report on metadata in Stripe
What do you mean by report on
We can see the tax in payment intent metadata one by one. But how could the customer get the total tax for multiple payment intent?
Complete reference documentation for the Stripe API. Includes code snippets and examples for our Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, Go, Ruby, and .NET libraries.
Thank you. This is api calls. is there any other way from Stripe dashboard?
