Hello @versed basin Can you please help in this matter?
Yes that means your Connected Account can go to their Dashboard setting and turn on-off each PaymentMethod
Without that checkbox, the Connected Account can still go to Dashboard and see, but the selection box will be disabled
no my question is the If I enabling "Allow connected accounts to customize their own payment methods from the Dashboard" this setting then they allow merchants to manage all payment method configurations independently, including enabling/disabling specific methods from their Stripe Dashboard?
Yes I know that checkbox, and yes
Okay so second question is,
I enabled this setting and if choose
On by Default
- Cards
- Apple Pay
- Cash App Pay
- Google Pay
- Amazon Pay
Off by Default
- Crypto
- Affirm
- Afterpay / Clearpay
- Klarna
Currently I setted down this above settings for the payment methods from my platform account
This above payment methods then they can customize from their(merchant) account to by default on or off right?
Am i correct mate?
Sorry the question is a bit confusing. Yes they will see those payment method, On or Off, but then they can change it
ok got it
they can manage on and off
If i set this
Block List
- Canadian pre-authorized debits
- Bancontact
then merchant cannot use this payment methods anymore right?
Yes I believe so
You can test the behavior btw, just log in your Connected Account and see their Dashboard setting
Okay that I will test
one more question
For Apple Pay and Google Pay, if I add the domain to my platform account, does the merchant also need to add the same domain to their account?
any confusion?
It depends on the fund flow. Destination Charges only needs your platform account to have the domain. But Direct Charge needs the Connected Account to have the domain
So need to add from the both end?
So, if I don’t add the domain for Apple Pay and Google Pay but just enable them by default, the merchant will need to add the domain from their end, correct?
Yes (in case of Direct Charge)
Ok I have one more question. please make thread active if possible.
The question is,
If I add a new domain for Apple Pay and Google Pay in my platform account, will the merchant also need to add the same domain in their account (with any of the charges)? This is little bit confusion? I m not aware of the charges
@versed basin @spiral gulch
Hi! I am catching up! Will be with you soon!
ok
Thanks for waiting! This will depend on the charge type: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/charges. As my colleague mentioned, if you are doing a destination charge / separate charges and transfers then you only need to add on the platform side.
If you are doing a direct charge: When using direct charges with Connect, you need to configure the domain for each connected account using the API.
(https://docs.stripe.com/apple-pay#:~:text=When using direct charges with Connect%2C you need to configure the domain for each connected account using the API.)
Currently, we are using direct charges, meaning the payment is deducted from the connected merchant's account instead of the platform's account. To apply this for all connected accounts, do we need to customize it through the API just once, or should we pass the domain_name every time we create a charge request?
Currently this is my platform account
Here is the mentioned, we can do from the dashboard
but mentioned from the platform or connected account
You only need to configure the domain for each connected account once. You don't have to do it every time you create a charge.
If I add a domain from my platform account, will it reflect across all the connected accounts? Currently above screen shot from the platform account
It will not be reflected across your Standard connected accounts.
ok
