Hello! Who pays fees depends on the controller.fees.payer property on the connected account in question: https://docs.stripe.com/api/accounts/create#create_account-controller-fees-payer
So is this something I need to configure in Creator onboarding part of my application where the users Stripe connect account is created?
Yeah, this is a parameter set on the connected account when you create it.
const stripeAccount = await stripe.accounts.create({
type: 'custom',
country: 'US',
email: user.email,
capabilities: {
transfers: { requested: true },
card_payments: { requested: true },
},
business_type: 'individual',
});
seems like something i need to configure here!
Appreciate the quick response! Will check out the docs and provide an update
Yep. You're using account types, though, which aren't compatible with controller properties. Account types are the older way of doing things, and controller properties are the newer way. See here for details: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/migrate-to-controller-properties
