It is expected that the input would not show up immediately if the user does not yet have a Link account.
Can you explain more about "The Link start showing up inconsistently." -- or do you just mean what I stated above?

When I enter a space or a bad email its starts howing up. It just came to me, do I need to validate before setting on PE?

Ah, that is based on cookies
So if you haven't prefilled an email at all then it would look at associated cookies to determine whether you have a Link login
