The React Native SDK returns the Payment Intent as a result of the confirmation, which we document here. You should be able to inspect the the Payment Intent to determine what the current status is.
Oh, based on the phrasing of your question, I think you might be referring to the collectPaymentMethod function which also returns the Payment Intent. We document that particular function here
on the M2 reader do we know if the is supposed to be a different tone played for a failed/canceled transaction VS a successful one?
Our product sheet doesn't have any specifics about tone. We mostly handle reporting the result via LED patterns.
