This seems more like a compliance question, so I'd strongly suggest routing it to your legal counsel, as we aren't permitted to speak to legal compliance in this forum.
Things to discuss with them:
- Is the IP address collected from the confirmation request sufficient. That's captured as part of our logging, you can see it in the IP Address field on the request's log page:

Ah yeah, that's totally understandable!
I guess what I'm asking here is if Stripe Tax actually uses multiple non conflicting points of data for calculating Tax, or if it uses just a single one in this case. Like the invoice in_1QpYCEInjg0JXg3SQKX9JUw7 for instance, it shows tax location to be the Netherlands, even though the payment method is listed as coming from the United States. On top of that, it says 'No IP address provided'.
I'll admit I'm not entirely sure how the more common stripe.checkout.sessions.create() handles this either. If the Stripe hosted checkout page detects conflicting information, will it block the transaction entirely?
