It's safe to update the invoice metadata anytime. An draft invoice will only be finalised after 1 hour of its creation

The reason why I ask is that when invoice is created, it seems it has 1 second before it finalizes.
Do you have an example invoice ID (in_xxx) with 1 second wait time only for finalisation?

Yes! metadata is only for your own internal reference

what i want is not to use invoice.created event in adding metadata

I'm planning to use the metadata of invoice in automation, but subscription_details.metadata
is not present in the option. only invoice metadata.

I see! Indeed that automation doesn't support subscription_details.metadata

I'm afraid the only way is to listen to invoice.created event and update the metadata manually, so that it can be used in the Automation
