No you'd need to handle this logic in your app and UI
ok, does this mean that I should set card (my own) status e.g. in its metadata that it is not active and handle the logic in my code?
Yeah metadata and/or some param in your database

I see that the payment method object has the field ‘status_details’: {}. Is it by any chance used to store card status information? I cant find values for this field in the doc..
