This is not a connect request, so application_fee_amount is not relevant
What are you trying to do, exactly?
I think it should be a connect request. Maybe I'm using the wrong accountID (the connect account vs the connected account) ... is there a way to see the headers here that the stripe backend received here?
the account you made the request with is acct_1Qmk0v2eR1Lfh7BG and there is no other account involved (for connect)
yeah that's the "connected account". I'm trying to create a payment Intent "on behalf of" the connected account, and with an application_fee. Is this not the way to do that?
oh maybe I'm using the wrong SK/PK keys
Hi hi! I'm taking over for synthrider - let me have a peek.
Hi! So it looks like you're setting your Platform's Account ID instead of the Connected Account's ID as the 'Stripe-Account' which is what caused that error.
If you instead use the Connected Account's ID, that should get you moving forward.
OK looks like a winner, thanks so much.
I have had trouble communicating "connect account" vs "connected account" (esp. to coworkers or even to my future self via code comments). What are the "terms of art" you guys are using for:
account-that-can-collect-app-fees --> ??
account-that-has-payment-intents-generated-and-must-pay-the-app-fee --> ??
account-that-can-collect-app-fees --> Platform Account (your account)
account-that-has-payment-intents-generated-and-must-pay-the-app-fee --> Connected Account (your customers' accounts)
Does that help?
yes, awesome
