Hi,

Hey there, if you know the entity type for the connected account, you should use the correct one. If you don't know or don't want to decide, you can omit that and let your account holder choose during the onboarding flow.

#

(Whether that is using our embedded/hosted options or your own custom implementation)

The boarding process is 100% personalised.

#

I know the customer's status, but I don't know whether to classify him as a ‘company’ or an ‘individual’.

#

for exemple for a "freelance"

#

it's a individual company, should I call it a ‘company’ or an ‘individual’? It seems to be an individual, but he has a SIRET and a business address that is different from his home address...

If they have a registered business it should be a company

#

excuse but I don't know the English terms for legal status

#

mmh

#

So we can say that as long as it has an SIREN number, it's a company, regardless of its legal status?

warm sable
#

I can't offer legal advice, you should speak with your legal counsel for guidance here. That said, a good guideline is whether they have an individual or business tax ID.

oh

#

just a little question

#

When I create the connected accounts, they are sometimes entirely valid, and on rare occasions this requires me to carry out a KYC. Is this because of incorrect information?

#

btw it's often on companies where I didn't know if I should put them on ‘individual’. 😄

It can be for a variety of reasons, most commonly that we cannot verify the info as submitted and need a document to confirm it

Ok ok

Thank you so much
