Hi, yes depending on multiple factors, Stripe collects the necessary information for KYC. We document what they are here: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/required-verification-information
Yes, the KYC will differe depending on what type of entity the connecte account is
And for the business type of individual, is this suitable for individuals who are not running a business? My app users are not going to be business owners or selling any services
I can't advise on that but if they are not a company we support individuals: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/required-verification-information
Ok no worries. Is there a flow you recommend when setting up KYC and Connected Accounts? Should I create the Connected Account on confirmation of KYC being verified successfully via a webhook (if this is offered)? Or do I need to store my user's data and then create a Connected Account later on?
I recommend that you review how the integration works here: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/design-an-integration
yes, you can leverage webhooks, https://docs.stripe.com/webhooks/quickstart
As for your latest question, can you clarify a bit more?
Depending on your use case, you can do either hence asking for more details
If you do not need that information on your end, sure you can just leverage Stripe to collect all the required information for the Connecte Accounts.
We document the different use cases here: https://docs.stripe.com/connect/accounts
