For automatic payment, invoices aren't sent automatically
You need to configure this and send customer email for each success payment in this case:
https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/communication-preferences
They'll receive both the receipt and the invoice in this case.

And where does this specify in the documentations?
I see here that this is an option but there is no mention of automatic or manual payments?
