Hi there, you should set resume_at or unset pause_collection

Hi, let me try this and get back to you

Hi, should I set the reumes_at when user pauses the subscription or when user resumes the subscription?

pastel owl
#

You'd set on the pause request, and it'll automatically resume at that timestamp. Otherwise you need to manually unpause

brazen salmon
#

Yeah I want to manually unpause the subscription because I don't know exactly when the user will unpause their subscription. It totally depends on the user.

pastel owl
#

Then the link above is how you do that

brazen salmon
#

So what should I do on unpause process that the billing cycle anchor (1st of each month) remains same for upcoming months and user will be charged for the current date (when user request for unpause) till the end of current month?

pastel owl
#

So you want to charge from unpause (now) to 1st of the next month?

brazen salmon
#

Yes, so that next invoice will be of the next month

pastel owl
#

Sorry, I'm confused. Do you want them to pay for the time between unpausing (now) and the 1st of next month, or give that as a free period?

brazen salmon
#

I want to charge them for the days between unpausing (now) and 1st of next month

pastel owl
#

Hmm, I don't think there's an easy way to do this. You could set billing_cycle_anchor: 'now' in your update call to unpause but that will then keep the anchor set to today's date for all future periods

brazen salmon
#

Alright. Thanks for the help

pastel owl
#

Should be easy enough for you to test these scenarios with a test clock

#

And get the behaviour exactly as you need

brazen salmon
#

Yeah testing with test clocks. Thanks
