Hi there 👋 you'll need to use validation.phone.required to control that behavior:

Sounds like you likely want to set it to always.

Specify always to make phone number a required field. The fields.phone option must be set to always if this property is specified. Default is auto.

Yup, exactly. You'll use the fields.phone structure you showed initially, but also include the validation.phone.required parameter when creating the Address Element.
