Unfortunately the Hardware Orders API is still a Beta feature and we cannot offer guidance for beta features on this server,
Oh that's odd, I was having a conversation about it last time I asked a quesiton here?
i'm mostly just looking for an elaboration on the documentation there? Because it says payment_type is an option
Complete reference documentation for the Stripe API. Includes code snippets and examples for our Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, Go, Ruby, and .NET libraries.
So in the object details it does say this:
Right, and I don't seen any documentation anywhere for what the payment_type can be
payment_type
enum
One of monthly_invoice, payment_intent, or none.
that's where i got the idea? was a bit confused as to what none would do as well but.
was hoping someone may know what payment_intent could look like here?
or maybe, a larger question, can a payment_intent be used to transfer from a Connected Account to a parent Account?
was hoping someone may know what payment_intent could look like here?
Nope, because this is still in beta only the team running the beta will have these details
or maybe, a larger question, can a payment_intent be used to transfer from a Connected Account to a parent Account?
Unfortunately again this isn't something we will have insight into
I see this note on the doc
The Terminal Hardware Ordering API is currently in beta. If you’re interested in gaining access, contact your sales representative, and they’ll assess your eligibility.
To qualify for beta access, you must:
Have a Stripe Account manager
Agree to monthly invoice billing
Understand this is a beta—which might require you to make timely updates
is there a way for me to ask that team? Like should i mak ea Support Portal ticket for that?
or should we just go through our sales rep with questions?
Do you have an account manager? It seems that is a hard requirement
yup! we do i can reach out to them.
it sounds like it's gotta be invoiced though based on what you sent me 🤔
Okay great. Then I recommend taking that approach. Once enrolled, you should have access to more detailed documentation and insights into the mechanics of how the AP Integration works
i wonder if the payment_intent route is just for internal / Stripe Portal use
thank you!
i'll bug our account manager
SInce it's in beta, if you were participating you could make feature requests
It's a trade-off. One the one hand, you might be working with a product that has a lot of rough edges. But on the other hand, your feedback can shape the product before it goes GA
yup yup
it's worked out pretty well so far
thanks for all your help and for pointing me in the right direction!
Awesome! Happy to help 🙂
